The Yolo County Fire Safe Council May 2025 meeting was on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 via Zoom from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A recording of the meeting is available below.
The meeting featured a new action item, added at the beginning of the meeting, to approve up to $2,000 for cultural monitoring for the Valley Vista Fuel Break, a project implemented by the CAL FIRE LNU Brooks station. The Fire Safe Council heard updates about CWPP projects from Tanya Meyer, a recap of the May 28th Yolo PBA Rumsey Grassland Burn, and updates from local community Fire Safe Councils.
A Neighborhood Chipper Day for the Capay Valley, West Winters, Dunnigan and Zamora (high fire areas of Yolo County) is tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 20, 2025.
