The Yolo County Fire Safe Council December 2024 Meeting was on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 via Zoom from 4:00 pm to 4:40 pm. A recording of the meeting is available at the link below. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the November and December meeting were combined.
The meeting featured highway fuels reduction project updates from Tanya Meyer, RCD Senior Program Manager. The Fire Safe Council also heard regular reports from CAL FIRE, Yolo Prescribed Burn Association, the YCFSC Outreach Coordinator, Solano RCD, and the local Fire Safe Councils.
Notable updates were that two CWPP projects have been completed: the first mile of the Highway 128 Shaded Fuel Break and the Rumsey Canyon Rd/Rumsey Ditch Fuel Break.
